Kraken Fall 6-2 in Calgary as the Penalty Kill Springs Another Leak
Tied after one, Seattle gave up the game in the middle frames — and Calgary scored on both of its power plays against the league's 27th-ranked kill.

The Seattle Kraken's two-game mastery of Calgary ended Friday night at the Saddledome, where the Flames won 6-2 and turned a 1-1 game after one period into a rout.
Philipp Grubauer was pulled after allowing four goals on 14 shots; Joey Daccord finished the night in net. Seattle fell to 8-4-1, while Calgary improved to 5-7-0 — a reversal of Seattle's two 6-1 wins over the Flames earlier in October.
Frederick Gaudreau and Mackie Samoskevich scored for Seattle. Samoskevich's power-play goal, with 1:45 left in the second period off assists from Kaapo Kakko and Berkly Catton, briefly kept the game within reach; he finished with a goal and an assist.
The standing concern travelled with the team: Calgary scored on both of its power plays, and Seattle entered the night ranked 27th in the NHL on the penalty kill. Against good power plays, that number is not a statistic — it is a schedule of future losses.
The clubs meet once more on Wednesday, November 4, at 7 p.m. Pacific, and the Kraken get the last word in the season series at home.
